Welcome to Sweet William Farms!!!
We are a small Eco Farm located in the nations capital - Ottawa City, Ontario.
We are city gardeners who have been gardening in the past 15 years and it is about time to bring our expertise to nurture an abandoned farm along NCC greenbelt.
We are fortunate to work with National Capital Commission (NCC)- to bring our vision of a permaculture landscape and sustainable farming. We aim to work with the land by using plants that provides ecosystem services such as remediation services, erosion control, reservoir filtration, drainage management, rain gardens, pollinator gardens and wildlife habitat.
We are in the heart of Kanata North - Canada's Silicon Valley North and we will partner with local high tech firms to create a farm to table relationships.
We will partner with local honey producers to create a produce basket filled with goodies delivered to your doorstep.
Our farm is connected to Watts Creek Pathway, a lovely bike path connecting all of the city of Ottawa via bike pathers and walking areas.
Join us in our journey to make a lovely acreage of wasteland into a bountiful farm with the beauty of walking trails, herbs gardens, and victory gardens. We plan to surround the farm with beautiful flowers for butterflies and bees.
It will not be an easy task, but it will be a productive next 20 years of our life and our children.
