Ottawa City - Thunderstorm - Tornado warning late afternoon

=========================================================
It was a day to cancel work, it was raining all morning. It cleared at lunch with sunny skies, and we manage to pick up some scrap wood from construction site. Our friends connected us to a company with leftover wood, which then we can use for raise bed.

As we finish dropping the wood at the farm around 4pm, the sky changed into dark clouds, phones beeping for tornado warning.

We pick up pallets at Canadian Tire - we just manage to load it in the truck and it poured. Thunder and lightning above our heads. It poured, it was dark.

The change was so sudden from sunny to roaring thunder and strong rain drops. I don't know if this is classic of August, but well...it just destroys the day and it is very hard to get stuff done.

But we really did have stuff done.
This morning, I came to pick up patty pan squash with onions at Mikes Harvest on River Rd, nothing better than farm fresh food for lunch and I am very grateful to be surrounded by farmer friends. I brought a little pack of garlic for Mike to try as well.

Much respect to those who work with the land, and those who work in this ever changing climate.
